Privacy Policy
Scope. At Taigan, your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. Taigan is the sole owner of the Personal Information collected on the site, and we do not use, sell, rent, trade or publish any data received from you, unless otherwise detailed in this policy. The information we collect through our website helps us provide you with information specific to your interests and needs. Please read the policy and the types of information we collect through the website.
Information Collection Personal Information is any information that identifies you and allows us to contact you, it includes among other information that you provide to us such information as your name, phone number, email address, credit card number and billing address. We only collect the necessary data to complete and activate your membership to Taigan. You are required to enter this limited amount of information when signing up for membership and you may change or edit your information at any time from the Account Settings page.
As an analytical tool, we also track website statistical data. This does not provide us with any Personal Information and is only used to help determine the most effective way of communicating with and serving the needs and requests of our members. We also collect data to identify high-traffic areas within the site. Such data consists of page/product views, hits to the server, types of browsers used to access our site, and navigational patterns. In no way does this website analysis provide us with any of your Personal Information.
As a service, Taigan encourages Retailers to notify their customers (“Retail Customers”) to shop online with the Retailer at Taigan.com. Taigan facilitates this communication by creating a dedicated email account and dedicated mail account for each Retailer through accredited third-party vendors, and sending messages co-branded by the Retailer and Taigan. Retail customer information is the property of the Retail partner and is not shared nor made public, nor used in any other way than that which is agreed upon, to promote the Retailer’s presence on Taigan. Once a Retail Customer engages a Trial or Full Membership, the information they enter on Taigan becomes subject to this Privacy Policy.
Cookies. Cookies are pieces of data assigned by a web server that uniquely identifies the browser on your computer. Cookies are used to store information about your browsing which allows the site to personalize your experience. They are used for authenticating, session tracking, and maintaining specific information about users, such as site preferences. A “web beacon” or “pixel tag” or “clear gif” is typically a one-pixel image, used to pass information from your computer to a website. You can, of course, disable cookies and web beacons on your computer by indicating this in the preferences or options menu in your browser. However, it is possible that some parts of Taigan.com will not operate correctly if you disable cookies.
Use and Disclosure of Information. We do not sell, rent or publish any identifiable information received from you. The access to this identifiable information is limited to only those Taigan officers and employees who specifically require the information to serve the needs of the membership as part of their jobs. The credit card data is used to process the membership fee either billed monthly or annually; additionally, if you choose to store the credit card data with our gateway, it will be used to process any transactions between our members and retailers. Your email address is used solely for the purpose of responding to any questions or requests you may have as well as to notify you of any announcements, promotions, website content updates, or special stores or offers for which you have signed up or have specifically requested.
Taigan commits to protect confidential information, unless otherwise required by law. We also reserve the right to submit the necessary information needed to aid in any legal action, defend against any legal claim, or in order to investigate, prevent and take action regarding any suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, illegal activity or violations of Taigan’s Privacy Policy.
Opt in/Opt out and Other Notifications. You may choose to subscribe to as many Shop Alerts or Shop Announcements as you wish, and you may edit this at any time in your Account Settings. You may opt out of receiving any updates or messages from the retailers at any time.
All members will be notified of website changes, improvements and updates relating to the operation of Taigan.com. These notifications may be made through Taigan’s internal message system or through email.
External Links. While visiting Taigan.com, you may link to websites operated by our business affiliates or other third parties. This does not mean that we endorse these websites. We do not make any representations or warranties about any website you may access through this website. They are independent from us, and we have no control over, or responsibility for, their information or activities.
In addition, our privacy practices may differ from those of these other sites. If you provide personal information at one of those sites, you are subject to the privacy policy of the operator of that site, not the Taigan privacy policy. Make sure that you understand any website’s privacy policies before providing personal information.
Modifications and Notification of Changes. We are constantly striving to employ commercially reasonable methods in protecting the privacy of our members. Therefore, Taigan reserves the right to make changes to this policy at any time. Notification of all changes to the Privacy Policy will be promptly provided to all Taigan members.

Security. All data collected from our members is securely stored at a hosted data network provider located in New Jersey and California. We employ multiple communication safeguards such as website encryption, passwords and physical security to ensure the security of the Personal Information that is entrusted to us. In compliance with applicable requirements and Taigan standards, several commercially reasonable methods to maintain data accuracy, prevent unauthorized access, and correctly use your Personal Information have been installed to prohibit security breaches. During the registration process, you must provide us with a member name and password, your name, address and a valid email address. It is your responsibility to keep your password strictly confidential.
We use a third-party gateway, Authorize.net to process all credit card transactions, which are solely limited to the monthly membership fees and approved transactions with the retailers. Taigan’s Client Relationship Managers (CRM) will have limited access to transactions that have occurred between the members and retailers. This access does not include credit card information.
Taigan and its affiliates place great importance on protecting information transmitted to and from this website and will take commercially reasonable security precautions to protect all such information. However, Taigan cannot guarantee that any electronic commerce is completely secure, and website users and purchasers post and transmit information at their own risk.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. accordingly, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
If you are a california resident, you waive california civil code section 1542 which reads: “a general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor.”
Termination of Your Use of the Website
Taigan reserves the right, within its sole discretion, to change, modify, add, suspend, remove or discontinue this website or any aspect of this website at any time, and may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict your access to parts or all of the website without notice or liability. You may terminate your use of the website, for any reason, including, without limitation, for lack of use of the website. Taigan (in its sole judgment and discretion) may terminate this User Agreement if you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of these User Agreement. You agree that any termination of your access to the website under any provision of this User Agreement may be effected without prior notice of cure to you.
The laws of the State of Tennessee will govern the interpretation and enforcement of this User Agreement and Privacy Policy, without giving effect to any conflict of law rules. You agree that any disputes, suits or other claims at law or equity arising out of or related to this User Agreement, your use of this website and/or the Content, including transactions entered into through this site, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee and you hereby consent and submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. This User Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties in connection with the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements, understandings, negotiations and discussions, whether oral or written, of the parties. The waiver or any modifications of any provision of this User Agreement or any right, power or remedy hereunder shall not be effective unless made in writing and signed by Taigan. No failure or delay by Taigan in exercising any right, power or remedy with respect to any of its rights hereunder shall operate as a waiver thereof. If any of these provisions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
